Art Together: A Program for those with Dementia-spectrum Illness and their care partners

ART TOGETHER is a program designed to create positive experiences for those with Dementia-spectrum illnesses and their care-partners using the artwork in the Arkansas Arts Center collection and through art making. ART TOGETHER occurs on the third Monday of each month when the Arkansas Arts Center is closed to the general public. Educators lead an experience with our collection that lasts between 40 and 50 minutes. After the tour, groups will have an hour lunch followed by an art making experience in the Museum School. To make sure everyone has a quality experience, each participant must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Art Together is made possible through a partnership with Alzheimer’s Arkansas.

Call 501-372-4000 to make reservations.

Distinguished Lecture series

The Arkansas Arts Center presents lectures designed for those who seek educational art experiences. Given by scholars, artists, teachers and curators, lectures are held in conjunction with special exhibitions and offer additional information and insight into the artwork on view. Family Festivals

Family Festivals are designed to create an environment for interaction between children and parents with the art in our galleries as the catalyst. Hands-on art-making, demonstrations and performances give families memorable and meaningful experiences. Family Festivals engage participants with the Arkansas Arts Center and its programs.
